Customer Review: Great all around saw so far....

On site carpenter's table saw: easy to move, very accurate fence and easily adjustable. The fence is probably it's nicest feature, Accurate and easily adjusted...just occasionally blow off the wood dust that will clog the gears after a while.
I am a Bosch tool guy usually but I found the Bosch equivalent to be even larger, with a flimsier fence but without a larger capacity of table top nor with as much cutting power. I also prefer Dewalt's chop saws too.
Any downsides? The motor is somewhat uneven sounding making me wonder as to it's longevity. I've owned the old tiny Makita 7 or 8 inch table saw and that was a wonder of longevity even if the motor always whined. I miss it's portability but it was burnt up in a friend's garage fire...and the insurance paid for my new Dewalt. I don't miss the Makita at all. Only it's portability..but with a little planning, the Dewalt will fit easily fit in the back of my Volvo SW and the stand is sturdy and easily set up. If owning this saw plan on cleaning the inside of the saw blade well below the arbor as the sliding mechanism for raising the blade gets clogged easily and will affect the ease of raising of the blade. Also the miter gauge is annoying with that dragging clip thing as mentioned elsewhere but no biggy...it's meant to align the gauge in 90 or 45 degrees..if using it a lot..just tape it in the up position...
I ripped a large quantity of Ipe, an extremely hard wood from Brazil, for custom handrails and deckboards and I went through 4 blades needing sharpening.. and the Dewalt's still humming as if new. And don't 'dis' Dewalt's cheaper blades... I found them to be better than the Fraud ones....Freud I mean and other more expensive blades.

The saw is loaded with the features professionals demand like 24-1/2 rip capacity, telescoping rails and the patented rack-and-pinion fence system which ensures parallel cuts every time. Includes: 10" Job Site Table Saw, 10" 24-tooth Carbide Blade, Portable table saw stand and Miter gauge.The first thing we look for in a table saw--portable or otherwise--is an accurate, smooth-working fence, and the telescoping fence on DeWalt's 10-inch portable table saw impressed us immediately. Fully extended, the fence delivers a 24-1/2-inch rip capacity, letting you cut to the center of a 4-by-8-foot sheet, while the rack-and-pinion design lets you make microadjustments fast and accurately. We also liked how the fence rides on both the front and back rails so that it's parallel to the blade at all times. The telescoping rails retract, too--when the job's done, the saw is easy and safe to transport.
Like most 10-inch portable saws, DeWalt's has a 3-1/8-inch depth capacity at 90 degrees and a 2-1/4-inch capacity at 45. The 15 amp motor cranks plenty of torque and doesn't lag when cutting hardwood or pressure-treated stock. Performance aside, DeWalt clearly also kept safety in mind when designing this saw. Its oversize on/off switch is positioned so you can easily bump it off with your knee if you get into trouble making a cut. The arbor on Dewalt's saw also has the capacity for a full dado stack.
